MEGAN MCCASLAND

TECH CHEER AUSTIN DIRECTOR

Although Megan was born in Seattle in 1993 to Tumble Tech founders Danielle and Rob Wills and lived there until the family's move to Austin in 1996, Megan is a true Austin original. Growing up in the Eanes school district, Megan graduated from Westlake High School in 2012 and went on to graduate from Austin's St. Edwards University in May 2016 at the top of her class with a Degree in Elementary Education. Megan has always been passionate about teaching children and began coaching gymnastics at age 16. She loves helping kids of all ages excel in the classroom, and in the tumbling and cheerleading gym.

Starting at age four with gymnastics and dance, Megan has been engaged in athletics including soccer, cheerleading, and gymnastics at an advanced level. Always a perfectionist with her tumbling and performances, Megan transitioned to competitive cheerleading at age ten, eventually going on to cheer on World Champion Cheer Athletics teams Panthers and Fierce Cats. Ultimately, Megan went on to be captain of the Westlake High School varsity cheerleading team.

KAT WALLING

CO-DIRECTOR

Coach Kat was born in Paris, Texas and grew up in the Dallas area. She started cheerleading when she was 4 years old. Throughout her cheerleading career Kat has won NCA 3 times and went to the Summit numerous times. She also cheered at the collegiate level at the University of Texas at Arlington for 2 years. Coach Kat started her coaching career when she was 15 and fell in love with helping kids achieve their goals. She learned as a coach that there is no better feeling than watching your athletes learn new skills that they have worked so hard for. Kat loves Tech Cheer and every single athlete that walks through the door day in and day out. When She is not in the gym, you will find her in a classroom working as an Inclusion and Math teacher. In her free time Coach Kat likes to spend time with her family and friends, read a good book in the pool, and find new trails to hike on.

SCOTT "SCOOTER" HOLLAND

CLASS DIRECTOR

Coach Scooter was born in Shreveport, LA and raised in Arlington, TX. He has been involved in cheerleading, tumbling and coaching since the mid 90’s. Scooter’s impressive cheerleading career as an athlete includes Midwestern State University, Trinity Valley Community College, Florida Atlantic University, and Stephen F. Austin State University. As an athlete, Coach Scooter has won two NCA Collegiate National Championships. Scooter has also been a coach at the collegiate level at both SFA and Barton County Community College where he led his teams to 3 NCA Collegiate National titles. Coach Scooter spent one year as the first assistant coach of the Baylor Acrobatics and Tumbling team. He has also been a director of an All-Star gym for 3 years. He also obtained a college degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Pyschology. When he is not coaching Coach Scooter enjoys disc golf, video games, and spending time with friends.

MARY VITAL

FRONT DESK

Mary was born in San Antonio, TX and raised in Austin. She graduated from Mcneil High School in 2023. Her cheer journey began in 2017 at a local gym in Austin. Over the years she has been on numerous All star teams as well as the Mcneil High School Cheer team. She has national titles that include NCA and ACA. Her favorite thing about cheerleading is the dedication and life skills she learned. The work ethic that she was taught, sticks with her today. Being a part of our front desk team she brings dedication, hard work and a smile. After graduating High School, Mary went to Blinn College and had the opportunity to Cheer there as well.

Mary competed on OUTLAWS for 3 years with us at Tech Cheer.

ISAIAH BAIRD

CHEER COACH

Coach Isaiah was born & raised in El Paso, Texas. Isaiah’s cheerleading journey started at age 12 at a Small All Star Gym called, Knight Time Cheer. At KTC, he was able to compete & win NCA in numerous divisions. At age 14, he began Junior Coaching with lower levels. After All Star cheer & 2 years in High School Cheer, Isaiah moved from El Paso to attend the University of Texas at Austin. He is studying to achieve his Bachelors in Kinesiology & Health. Also while at UT, he has become a member & Co-Captain of Orange Squad, the Coed Cheerleading Team. Working at the WACC, Isaiah is teaching multiple classes varying skill sets.

VICTOR FONG

Victor Fong is a dedicated cheerleading professional from Stafford, Texas, whose career is rooted in passion, purpose, and people. With experience across All-Star and School Cheer, Victor brings both energy and intention to every program he serves. He has coached at two of the largest Division 1 gyms in the Houston area and proudly returned home to serve a Division 2 program gym as School Program Director and All-Star Director Liaison, helping teams grow while building strong, lasting foundations.With 11 years on NCA Staff, including 6 years as a Head Instructor, Victor has played an active role in shaping athletes and coaches on a national level. His journey includes Summit Championships, NCA National Titles, NCA School Cheer National Championships, Game Day victories with NCA and Top placements with UIL Spirit, reflecting a well-rounded commitment to excellence across multiple cheer platforms.What truly defines Victor is his heart for athletes and team culture. Known for his attention to detail, high standards, and positive leadership, he is passionate about developing confident, disciplined athletes in environments built on trust, accountability, and teamwork. His coaching style emphasizes precision, resilience, and unity, while always keeping the athlete experience at the center.

HAILEY SCOTT

Coach Hailey is from Hutto, Texas. She started her cheerleading career in Middle School. From cheering through Middle school to Highschool as well as cheering at Texas Allstar Cheer in Pflugerville, Hailey decided to continue her cheer career and cheer at The Unviersity of Texas at Arlington and latering transfering to The University of Texas at Austin. Hailey will be obtaining her Bachelors degree in Government and Black Studies this upcoming spring and then pursuing her acting career. From competing at Daytona to cheering on the sidelines at one of the biggest game day schools, Hailey has shown a strong loving passion for the sport.

Heather is originally from Roswell, GA and moved to Austin in 2015. Heather started in gymnastics as a child then switched to cheer in elementary school when her older sister introduced her to the sport. She started coaching at age 14 as a junior coach, and also coached the 7th grade cheerleading team of her local middle school. She went on to compete in allstar cheer, her true passion! Heather cheered at prominent gyms in the US such as the Stingray Allstars and the OC Allstars. As an athlete, Heather won NCA, was captain on her high school team, won multiple national competitions, placed top five at worlds finals, placed first in the nation in the international level 6 division at worlds, became an All-American, and more. She also made the cheerleading team at the University of Georgia, but her time was cut short due to an injury. 

Coaching wise, Heather has coached in numerous facets over the year. She coached allstar all throughout college and after, been a head coach for high school, done UIL choreography, and more. Heather also started an after school program at her elementary school back in 2022 where she teaches cheerleading fundamentals to students at the school. One of her most recent accomplishments was having an undefeated 2026 season with the Mustangs, where they also won NCA! She is so grateful to be part of the Tech Cheer family and thrives from pouring into her teams that she coaches.

TAYLOR HAMILTON

Originally from Geneva, IL, Taylor moved to Austin in 2025. Her passion for athletics began as a toddler in dance, which quickly led to gymnastics and sideline rec cheer. At age 10, she joined her local Allstar team, beginning 12 years of involvement across both school/sideline cheer and Allstar cheer. Over the years, Taylor trained with top programs including ICE Allstars in Aurora, IL, and the California Allstars in San Marcos, CA. Throughout her competitive career, she competed at major events such as Cheersport, Duel in the Desert, NCA, USA Nationals and The Summit. Taylor's coaching background includes leading a youth sideline team as well as a half-year team that won two out of three competitions. Now back in action, Taylor is thrilled to share her experiences, teaching classes and coaching teams at Tech Cheer!

REAGAN SHANTZ

Coach Reagan was born in Nashville, Tennessee, and grew up in Austin, Texas. She started cheering in 5th grade and has competed as an All-Star cheerleader for 9 years, three of which have been with us at Tech Cheer. She has placed in the NCA Winners Circle 3 times, was a silver medalist at the Summit Championships in 2025, and won OneUp Grand Nationals in 2026. Reagan began coaching at Tech Cheer three years ago while competing as an athlete. Reagan is excited to continue coaching at Tech Cheer with the goal of creating a positive environment for athletes to grow not only on the mat but off the mat as well.

Coach Brenna was born in Germany but moved to Georgetown, Texas, shortly after, where she was raised and still calls home. She began her cheer career in middle school after nine years of competitive gymnastics and continued to cheer competitively and on the sidelines through her freshman year at the University of Texas at Austin. Throughout her cheer career, Brenna has competed and won at D2 Summit and NCA. Later, in High School, she competed with Stars Vipers HISS during the 2022–2023 and 2023–2024 seasons, attending The Cheerleading Worlds both years. During that time, she was also the captain of the Georgetown High School varsity cheer team. Brenna is currently studying Public Relations at UT Austin, but finds that ending her day coaching cheer is one of the most rewarding things she does. She loves helping athletes build their skills, confidence, and love for cheer and is excited to continue doing so at Tech Cheer.

Coach Tyler was born and raised locally in Georgetown, Texas. While playing football in high school, Tyler began participating in and coaching all star cheer after being introduced to the sport by his younger sister Blake. Tyler has won multiple national competitions and is a cheerleading worlds and 2x NCA medalist performing as a tumbler and base at Stars Vipers. Following his all star career, he began to cheer for the Texas Longhorns where he is a current member, scholarship recipient, award winning student-athlete, and 4 year veteran of the Texas Co-ed Cheerleading Squad (O-Squad). Over the course of his time at Texas, Tyler has helped introduce innovative skills and choreography to his program in addition to being a skilled clinician hosting events to train young athletes into future longhorn cheerleaders. Tyler is excited to use his 6 years of all star coaching experience to help athletes build personal confidence to grow and maintain their skills. Outside of the gym, Tyler can be seen exploring Austin restaurants, hanging out with his roommates, walking trails, or doing a Barry’s class.
